Happy All-A-Days!
Hanukkah
Based on the Hebrew calendar, Hanukkah can occur anytime from late November to late December each year. The festival is observed for eight days and eight nights by lighting a candle on the menorah each night. Although Hanukkah isn't a particularly religious holiday in Judaism, it maintains its popularity with fun games, presents, and delicious fried foods.
Christmas
From carolers and Santa to Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph—Christmas is one of the most wonderful times of the year. One can't go to a Target without hearing Mariah Carey's 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' in December, and most consume enough sugar to hold them over until next Christmas. This holiday is centered around loved ones and family coming together to decorate the tree, feast, and be merry.
Kwanzaa
In a celebration of African American culture, Kwanzaa is observed from December 26 to January 1. Its celebratory foundation aligns with African harvest traditions and signifies the celebration of African heritage, culture, and unity. Similar to Hanukkah, seven candles are lit on a candelabra called a kinara; each candle is meant to symbolize the principles of Kwanzaa; unity, self-determination, collective work and responsibility, cooperative economics, purpose, creativity, and faith.
Whatever your celebration may be, at OLAPLEX, we celebrate you and the opportunity you've given us to make the world a little healthier. Understanding why we celebrate helps us further an inclusive community where we lift each other up and celebrate what makes us unique. At the end of the day, it's all love.
Happy all-a-days to you all!
